Individual Therapy
Rate: $50 - $100
Do you feel as though you have lost touch with yourself while trying to adapt to everything life has asked of you? You may find yourself feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or uncertain about what comes next as you navigate changes that have reshaped how you see yourself and your future.
I support individuals navigating life transitions, chronic illness, grief, identity exploration, anxiety, and the pressure of fitting into spaces that do not feel aligned with who they are. My goal is to create a compassionate, judgment-free space where we can make sense of your experiences, rebuild trust with yourself, and reconnect with the parts of you that may have been overlooked along the way.

About Ryan.
My path into the mental health field has been shaped by my lived experiences navigating significant health challenges, including two chronic illness diagnoses. I have learned firsthand the ways in which our physical health is intertwined with our mental health. I know the emotional whiplash that comes with a surprise diagnosis, and I understand the exhausting, often invisible work of navigating overwhelming medical systems, all while trying to hold onto your sense of self and navigating strained relationships.
These experiences strongly inform the therapist I am today. When working with clients, my goal is to create a safe, affirming space where we can untangle the complexities of your journey, free from judgment.
Outside The Therapy Room.
Outside the therapy room, you'll often find me spending time with my partner and our dog, Penny, usually with a baseball game on in the background. Family is deeply important to me, and I cherish my roles as a son, brother, and uncle to my two nieces.
One of my favourite ways to step away from the demands of everyday life is camping and spending time in nature. Living with a chronic illness has taught me the importance of slowing down and reconnecting with what grounds me. Time outdoors has become a meaningful source of reflection, helping me navigate life's transitions, reconnect with my sense of self, and embrace moments of curiosity, play, and wonder.

My Approach.
In therapy, we will work together to explore the experiences, patterns, and beliefs that have influenced how you navigate relationships, challenges, and the world around you. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative space where you can cultivate greater self-compassion, reconnect with your strengths, and move toward a life that feels more authentic and aligned with your values. Below are some of the modalities I draw from in practice:
Psychodynamic Therapy
A form of talk therapy that focuses on understanding how your past experiences, especially early relationships and patterns, continue to shape how you think, feel, and relate to others today.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
A therapeutic approach that understands the mind as made up of different “parts,” each carrying its own feelings, beliefs, and roles. IFS therapy helps you gently get to know these parts with curiosity and compassion.
Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy
An approach that focuses on the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. It helps you notice unhelpful thinking patterns and gently challenge them to respond to situations in more balanced and effective ways.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
A skills-based approach that helps you manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and build greater emotional stability. It focuses on finding a balance between acceptance and change for meaningful growth.
